WELCOME TO EVOLVE PSYCHOTHERAPY. HERE TO HELP YOU, AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
Sometimes life can be a struggle. It can feel as though we have been swept over the edge of a waterfall and are no longer in control. Sometimes we feel like we are barely treading water, sometimes it’s like we’re swimming against the tide, and at other times we can feel as though we are drowning.
Whether, or not, you know what is causing your current distress or difficulties Evolve Psychotherapy is here to help you.
Together we can start to make some sense of what is going on, then we will decide if we need to build a raft, learn to swim or something else entirely. Once you have some new coping techniques, we can help you to learn to understand the tides and weather, so that you will soon be able to enjoy the flow of life again, knowing what to do if the waters were to get choppy again.
There are many psychotherapists and counsellors offering cognitive behavioural therapy. Always ensure that your therapist is professionally accredited with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP).

Like many of us, until it happened to me, I had no idea about mental illhealth or emotional wellbeing. What it was, what to do about it or why it happened. For me it just hit three days after having my son. I had no idea what it was until nine months later when I was formally diagnosed with post-natal depression. That started a journey of discovery that changed the course of my life. Since then it has felt more like a mission to understand all that I can about the various aspects of our emotional health so that I can support others to reduce their suffering as quickly as possible.
More recently I became physically unwell and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I used the same philosophy as I had previously and researched various approaches and treatments. The one that made most sense to me and succeeded in alliviating my symptoms is based on the work of Dr John Sarno.
The therapies and techniques that were most efficient and effective for me were the ones that I went on to train in and teach to others. Therefore, I am a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. (This means I have undertaken specific post-graduation training and continue to adhere to strict standards of conduct, performance and ethics.) I am also a Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) teacher and practice meditation and mindfulness myself daily. I use Virtual Reality to enhance and support meditation, pain management and certain aspects of CBT and I am a SIRPA Practioner. This means I teach people about the psychological origins of pain and techniques to reduce physical symptoms.
I have over 12 years experience supporting individuals with their emotional health, within the voluntary sector, the NHS and private healthcare. I have helped thousands of people make a difference in their lives and the lives of those people around them. I have supported people from 15 to 90 years old to recover from anxiety disorders, depression, trauma and chronic pain conditions.
I've been where you are now and so I appreciate just how difficult it is to first accept there is an issue and then to take steps to make changes in how to cope with those issues. Everyone is different, so I try to be as flexible as possible to accomodate for that. The first step is the most important, without that you will stay in the water. Take my hand, click below and book a call. Let me help you to the bank. I promise the view is much better from here.
